About the journalist:

I am a soon-to-be alumna of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. I am aspiring to be a news or sports journalist/broadcaster. I have a passion for being in the role that journalists have within society. I take pride and bring passion to my work and believe myself to be a hard worker with a drive to put my best foot forward each and every day in all that I do.

I have experience in writing and reporting sports and news stories through my time at Auburn University and working with The Opelika-Auburn News. My strongest skills are writing, reporting, communication, and time management. These skills have been strengthened through my previous work experiences, coursework and on-campus involvement.

My writing and editing skills have been strengthened through working with The Opelika-Auburn News and Auburn's student-run television station, Eagle Eye TV by writing stories for both and editing packages for news/sports shows weekly to keep readers informed on Auburn sports news or Eagle Eye.

 

Also, courses such as Newswriting, News Reporting, and Sports Reporting have helped me become familiar with the AP Style and have strengthened my interviewing, writing, and reporting skills. Eagle Eye and courses in Intro to Sports Production, Broadcast Production, and Sports Storytelling have helped me become familiar with navigating and editing within the Adobe application, Adobe Premiere Pro to edit and create videos and packages.
